HTC’s Touch Diamond smartphone has been all but completely revealed

HTC’s Touch Diamond smartphone has been all but completely revealed today through a set of photos leaked today by NewsMobile. The sequel to the original Touch is now known to earn its Diamond name through a subtle, angular geometry on the back that recalls Nokia’s Prism lineup. The Diamond will also be narrower than the original, but will also be taller courtesy of dedicated Back and Home buttons alongside the control pad.

The shots also appear to confirm specifications of the touchscreen phone, including a built-in 4GB of storage, a 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus, and a front video camera that will work with video calls. This and past reports also point to 7.2Mbps 3G Internet support, a sharper 640×480 screen courtesy of Windows Mobile 6.1, and such extras as an FM radio and Wi-Fi. The internal flash is expandable through a microSD card slot hidden in the photos.

A release date for the Touch Diamond doesn’t accompany the latest leak.
